Urgent Hiring: Mechanical and Electrical Engineers – Tendering and Estimation | Kuwait

A trading, contracting and EPC company in Ahmadi, Kuwait is hiring experienced mechanical and electrical engineers for its tendering and estimation team. Candidates should have strong expertise in tender preparation, BOQ development, quantity take-off, cost estimation and technical and commercial proposal preparation. Open Positions: - Mechanical Engineer – Tendering and Estimation - Electrical Engineer – Tendering and Estimation Requirements: - Bachelor's degree (B.E. or B.Tech) in mechanical or electrical engineering. - Mandatory relevant experience in tendering, estimation, BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, cost analysis and bid submission. - Experience in Kuwait or GCC projects is an advantage. - Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, standards and contract documents. - Good knowledge of materials, equipment and current market pricing. - Excellent analytical, commercial, negotiation and communication skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimation software. - Able to manage multiple tenders and meet strict submission deadlines. Technical Expertise – Mechanical Engineer: - Pipeline and piping systems. - Pipes, fittings, valves and related accessories. - Mechanical equipment installation and maintenance works. - Structural steel fabrication and installation. - Skids, packages and process equipment. - HVAC, firefighting and plumbing systems. - Industrial and oil and gas mechanical works. Technical Expertise – Electrical Engineer: - LV and MV electrical power distribution systems. - Cable systems, cable trays and containment works. - Lighting, earthing and lightning protection systems. - Electrical equipment installation works. - Instrumentation systems and field instruments. - Control systems and PLC/SCADA related works. - Testing, commissioning and start-up activities. Preferred Project Experience: - K-Company projects (KOC, KNPC, KIPIC and similar). - US Army and USACE projects. - MEW and MPW projects. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare detailed BOQs, quantity take-offs, cost estimates and complete tender submissions. - Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, scope of work and contractual requirements. - Analyse project requirements and prepare accurate technical and commercial proposals. - Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations. - Evaluate material, equipment, manpower and subcontracting costs. - Ensure compliance with client specifications, project standards and tender conditions. - Support the full tendering process from enquiry stage until final submission.
