Treasury Accountant – Banking Sector, Fahaheel Kuwait

A company in Fahaheel, Kuwait is hiring a highly experienced Treasury Accountant with a background in the banking or financial sector. Key Responsibilities: - Bank Reconciliation: Supervise reconciliation of 88 bank accounts across entities; investigate and resolve discrepancies - Treasury Systems: Oversee automated treasury accounting entries (Quantum system), including deposits, loans, sukuk, and hedging; ensure accurate SAP mapping - Debt & Investment Accounting: Manage principal movements, interest accruals, amortisation of fees, and profit distribution including sukuk structures per IFRS - Intercompany & IHC: Oversee intercompany funding, settlements, cash pooling, and centralised payments aligned with Group treasury strategy - FX Accounting: Manage revaluation and remeasurement of foreign currency balances per IFRS IAS 21; monitor and validate FX gains and losses Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting - Minimum 2 years of treasury accounting or similar experience - Strong SAP knowledge and experience with treasury systems (e.g., Quantum) highly preferred - Strong knowledge of IFRS, particularly foreign currency accounting and financial instruments Preferred: - Previous experience at Big 4 accounting firms - Experience in financial control in the banking sector - Professional certification: CPA or ACCA How to Apply: Send your CV — contact details available via the job listing.
